The Project:

ECTOR aims to explore and validate a new service for monitoring wastewater, allowing industries and public entities a better water management.

A water laboratory (Control 7) and a monitoring and communication company (GEEZAR) join capacities to develop a new service that will allow to detect irregular parameters in waste water. This project is a clear example of the benefits of industry 4.0 and digitalization of water services.

The project is based in the development of a methodology based in alarms of basic water parameters for efluent control of wastewater.

This project is funded by the national funding call for Innovative business associations (Clusters) 2017, through the funding topic for collaborative innovation projects. It is an industrial research initiative.

Innovative business associations - MINECO

This project received funding support under the “Innovative Business Associations” framework (AEIs). This program supports to strenghten innovation clusters and is also alligned with the european strategy for competitiveness through innovation.

Only clusters from the National Registry of Clusters can benefit from this funding call. These are clusters with innovation potential and critical mass. ZINNAE is member of this Registry since 2010.

Objectives

The project aims to analyze, develop and test a hardware and sofrware prototype for a new service of wastewater control for industries.

1. Design the harware components of the service
2. Develop the methodology for monitoring wastewater efluents
3. Develop a business plan for a new service of wastewater control for industries
4. Launch the new service offer

Work Packages

The project is coordinated by ZINNAE with the technical coordination support of GEEZAR. The project includes five Work Packages:

  1. Project coordination
  2. Service scope and especification
  3. Technological service development
  4. Implementation and tests
  5. Dissemination and Exploitation plan
