Meet Zinnae and its team
US
Zinnae, cluster for the efficient use of water, is a non-profit association from Aragon. Our purpose is to offer solutions to water security challenges to contribute to the construction of a sustainable and resilient future under the principles of circular economy and smart society.
1. Working in four priority areas: Innovation; Business Development; Public Policy; Leadership and Branding.
2. Improving the competitiveness of Aragonese entities, being a driving force for the creation of green jobs.
3. Contributing ideas, projects and improvements in three areas of work: Infrastructures for water management; digital technologies at the service of water management; and improved governance and management of water resources.
ABOUT US

Marisa Fernández, Manager of ZINNAE
María Luisa Fernández has a degree in Economics from the University of Zaragoza and a Master’s in Environmental Management from the Universities of Amsterdam, Leiden and Wageningen. She has 25 years of experience working in efficient water management by promoting technological and social innovation. She coordinated the project “Zaragoza, water-saving city”, between 1997 and 2006, contributing to making Zaragoza a reference in efficient water management. In 2008 she coordinated the Pavilion of citizen initiatives at Expo Zaragoza 2008 with the slogan “Water and Sustainability”. Since 2010 she has been the manager of ZINNAE.

María Benito, ZINNAE Project Manager
María Benito Fernández has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Zaragoza and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zaragoza. She has experience in innovation projects as a researcher in water quality and treatment, which led her to win first prize in the XIV Spanish and IV Iberoamerican Congress on Environmental Health and to publish 4 fourrticles in international journals. Since 2018 she has been a project manager at ZINNAE, participating in project implementation and management tasks and partners’ dynamisation through networking events, workshops and working groups.
