The results of the first call of the CircInWater project are published. This European project coordinated by ZINNAE, aims to support SMEs through actions that promote collaborative innovation through a cascade funding scheme, in order to boost the triple transition in the agri-food industry and in the energy-intensive industry.
It is funded by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) through the Joint Cluster Initiatives (EUROCLUSTERS) for the Recovery of Europe (SMP-COSME-2021-CLUSTER) and the consortium consists of 6 European clusters and 1 research centre (Water Alliance, France Water Team, Water Cluster Finland, Blue Economy Mikkeli, CREA Hidro&Energy, ZINNAE and ICOK).

In this call, endowed with €850,000, 78 projects from 13 countries and 104 SMEs were submitted, the most active countries being Spain (26 SMEs), the Netherlands (19), Finland (17) and France (11). Finally, 12 projects have been approved with 16 beneficiary SMEs, which will develop and implement smart solutions in water management in the resolution of the 10 challenges proposed.
