ECODES

Company description

ECODES is a private non-profit organisation that has been working since 1992 to seek accomplices in citizens, civil society organisations, companies and public administrations, accompanying and helping them to accelerate their transition to a carbon-neutral, inclusive, responsible and circular economy framed in new governance, through innovation and the creation of bonds and alliances.

The production and consumption model we have developed has collided with the biosphere’s limits, and we are obliged to make a massive, profound and rapid change. In this context, in 2015, the nations and governments of the world, the United Nations, agreed on a double global agenda for humanity: the Paris Agreement, which must be implemented as ambitiously and quickly as possible, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ECODES takes on this dual agenda as its own, which constitutes an enormous challenge, and directs all its efforts to achieve impact objectives that contribute to its full compliance.

This requires profound changes in regulations, technologies and habits. For this reason, the foundation focuses its work on three priority areas: changing public policies, promoting the sustainability market and changing culture and values.

In conclusion, ECODES wants to promote transformative action and generate hope for change. Therefore, it focuses on creating the world we need. Its vision is to maximise the well-being of all people – those we are and those to come – within the planet’s limits.
