The GREENSTEP project in Zaragoza
Representatives of the consortium, which brings together eight regions from six different countries (the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain), have gathered in Zaragoza to hold the Regional Innovation Forum (March 2026), with a full agenda.
The project aims to strengthen less developed regions through the ecological and digital transition of value chains in energy-intensive industries (EIIs).
The agenda included talks, workshops, meetings and visits to key centres within Aragon’s innovation ecosystem, such as the Instituto Aragonés del Agua, Aitiip Technology Centre, the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation, as well as companies in the sector such as Ingeobras and Carpemar.
Technological development, applied research, innovation services for industry, regional initiatives contributing to the development of energy solutions, and collaboration between European innovation ecosystems brought to a close an enriching week of exchanges, learning and new opportunities.
